Editorial policy
Lively Movie Review aims to make clear, considered writing about movie storytelling and craft. We distinguish observation from interpretation, check factual claims against suitable sources, and correct errors openly.
Accuracy and interpretation
We take care with names, titles, dates and other checkable details. When a claim is uncertain or a reading is open to debate, we say so rather than presenting an interpretation as fact. We welcome specific correction requests through the Contact page and review them carefully; when a published error is confirmed, we amend the relevant text and make the correction clear.
Independence
Editorial choices belong to the publication, not to partners or advertisers. A relationship with a partner does not buy praise, a favourable review or control over our conclusions. We do not imply firsthand viewing, access or testing unless it actually took place.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary images.
Corrections and reader questions
Readers can use the Contact page to point out an error, ask about an editorial choice or raise a concern. We assess corrections on their merits and update affected material when needed, with a note that explains a meaningful change.
A closer look changes the view
A movie's smallest choices can do the biggest work. We slow down the scene without taking the pleasure out of watching it.
